A ready mixed refractory
coating that is designed for application to sand moulds
and cores used in the production of medium to heavy
section iron and steel castings.
ZIRCOTE 100 is
produced under BS5750 (ISO 9002) quality standards using
high quality Zircon as the refractory base.
HOW TO USE
This product is manufactured
as a white coloured slurry, which can be used as received,
or diluted with water to suit the particular application
method employed.
The coating may be applied
by brushing, swabbing, spraying, flooding or dipping.
After application the coating should be thoroughly dried
in an oven or forced air dryer before pouring metal.
Further coats may be applied, if required after ensuring
that the first coat is completely dry.
PERFORMANCE
Provides a dense, strong
coating deposit after drying to resist penetration and
erosion. Can be used for all types of bonded sand and
green sand systems. Excellent leveling properties when
used with any application technique.
