PRODUCT
SILCOX is a breakdown agent
in liquid form for C02 moulds and cores.
FUNCTION
Decomposes at high
temperatures and creates voids n the moulds/cores thereby
facilitating easy breakdown and faster casting Knockout.
MIXING PROCEDURE

Mix dry sand for one
minute.

Add Silcox 2% for cores
and 1.5% for moulds and wet mix for two minutes.

Add Sodium Siliicate (5 to
6%) and mix for two minutes.

Discharge.

Consumption of CO2
gas is only 0.50 kg per 100 kgs of SAND thereby offering
substantial savings.

Reduction of Sodium
Silicate from 6% to S% for the same as gassed
STRENGTH.

In case of large heavy
castings, the moulds and cores can be removed easily
within 25% of the normal period.

Typical applications
include Valve/Bonnet Castings, Pump Casings,
Earth-moving equipments, Ni-hard rings. Balls and
general Engineering Castings.
