AMC-15 flux designed to
modify aluminum silicon alloys.
FOSFLUX-AMC 15
Improves mechanical
properties of aluminum silicon alloys, by modification.
Assists in the removal of oxides, forming a dry easily
removable dross. Has some degassing effect and will help
maintain lower gas levels. Helps create an improved
working environment as it is smokeless and fumeless. Can
be used in all types of furnaces.
Is safe and easy to use and has no special storage
requirement other than avoiding damp.
Only needs low addition
rates and can be used at low temperatures.
DIRECTION FOR USE

Use after skimming and
degassing with the appropriate Fesfluxes as required.

Add 0.3-0.4% flux to the
melt, either by sprinkling on the surface and stirring
or by plunging into the molten bath with a perforated
plunger.

The addition should be
made when the metal is in the temperature range
700°-730°C

When the surface of the
metal takes on a bluish sheen the modification is
completed, remove dross.

The effect diminishes
after lengthy standing, therefore repeat process if
metal is not cast within 50-60 minutes.
